Little did I know about the romantic proposal of Elijah & Daniella, whose wedding happens to be this Saturday, and I couldn’t be more excited! Here is their beautiful proposal story
“Elijah and I had been dating for about a year, and we knew from the beginning that we were meant for one another. Ever since I was little I prayed for a man like him. On the day of the proposal, my friend and I went on a hike off of the beautiful Columbian River Gorge in Oregon. We went to Wahclella Falls and hiked all the way through to the end. When we got to the waterfall, I looked around in amazement, and then whispered to my friend, “I wouldn’t mind getting proposed to at a waterfall like this. It is so breathtaking!” She looked at me with a look of surprise, and said, “Really?.. A waterfall?” I thought nothing of it. After we had our picnic, and our fill of waterfall pictures, we started our way back to the car. When we got to the car, I suggested that we have a bonfire on a mountain that I heard had a beautiful view. On our way there, Elijah called up some of his friends and we planned to spend a relaxing night with a bonfire and an amazing view. When we finally made it to the top of the hill, we were in awe. The view was so gorgeous, I was almost in tears! My friend and I posed on top of a pile of logs, and Elijah snapped pictures of us. I would heard Elijah repeating “it’s perfect” a couple of times, but I thought nothing of it. Then it was mine and Elijah’s turn to have our pictures taken. At one point, Elijah remembered that his wallet was in his pocket and would look funny in the pictures, so he went off to the side to put it away. When he came back, he looked me in the eyes and said, “I love you so much…”, got down on one knee and proposed to me. I was in shock. I was not expecting the proposal to happen until much later. Of course, I said, “Yes! Yes! Yes!” I was shaking from the excitement that I was going to marry my best friend Elijah. I know he was sent by God as an answer to my prayers. We are soon going to be Mr. and Mrs. Botez.”
